Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable, acing our tests for cleaning and taking on various floor types. Look for models that allow you to select from multiple modes, use their charging docks to self-empty and clean up the stairs.
Many of the best models work with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the behavior of the S1.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which comprises flooring in the dining area, kitchen and bathrooms and also a carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive close to walls and even across raised thresholds without issue. However it was a bit difficult traversing the stairs in one pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and raised itself when it was near carpets or carpets.
Before each mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills the water tank onboard with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before needing to be emptied, though it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating well. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. But, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a great choice for your cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction and offers many innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply drag a pad across a surface. robot vacuums cheap are cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.
The robot comes with a simple interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with a strong suction that effortlessly picks up most of the debris, and even smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty robust, however it is sometimes hung up on the small rug or area mats I have in my house (which is something you can control by creating a virtual boundary in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mop pads that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when required. The mops can also be refilled at the top of the station as required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new flagship model of robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the best mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush will give you a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is a great choice on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned the most soiled areas efficiently, while eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other mess. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.

The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on price by eliminating mopping and using a less expensive plastic body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've seen at this price, even though it's not equipped to clean your floor. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also features a smart app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system that allows hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa capacity to take on pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested that did not have issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it did not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise, since it does NOT contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that lets it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums are unable to.
